The EIA Report Of “Mshenebeli 2004” LLC was Discussed within the Framework of the Working Group
Today, on October 25th, a meeting of the working group was held to discuss the EIA report of the cement enterprise LLC “Mshenebeli 2004” and to prepare comments and notes, organized by the civil movement “Gavigudet”.
LLC “Mshenebeli 2004” has planned to change the operating conditions of the cement enterprise, in particular, to increase the productivity. For this a new 8 t/h ball mill will be added to the existing 3 t/h mill in the enterprise.
As we read in the EIA report, currently the 8 ton/hour capacity ball mill is in operation, while the 3 ton/hour capacity ball mill is in an emergency condition. The company has planned to carry out the repair works of the mentioned mill, after which the simultaneous operation of both mills will take place.
In addition, two silos were added to the existing five cement silos, after which their number became 7. With capacities of 3 units – 80 tons each, 4 units – 50 tons each.
The working meeting was held through the Zoom platform and was led by an invited trainer. At the meeting, we discussed the report in detail and prepared comments that we will announce at the public hearing. We will send our written position to the National Environmental Agency and share it with the population.
The public discussion of the EIA report will be held on October 26th at 12:00 pm in Rustavi City Hall.
