Defending Our Right to Clean Air in Rustavi

The  project aims at strengthening the role of activists/citizens in the fight against air pollution in Rustavi through raising public awareness and increasing civic activism and monitoring the implementation of the 2020-2022 Action Plan for the Improvement of Ambient Air Quality in Rustavi.

Within the frame of this initiative, the following key activities are foreseen:

– Strengthening the network of civic activists involved in Gavigudet’s activities;

– Organising informational tours for citizens in the industrial/most polluted areas of Rustavi;

– Trainings for network members;

– Traineeships for 4 individuals at Gavigudet;

– Monitoring of the implementation of 2020-2022 Action Plan (developing policy recommendations and an awareness raising document for the public; interim reports on the implementation).
