\"\"Today, On November 30, the civil movement \u201cGavigudet\u201d organized a working group meeting in order to discuss and prepare comments\/notes on the EIA report of the cement plant \u2013 \u201cStandard Cement\u201d LLC.<\/p>\n

The company produces both, masonry blocks and cement. The cement is produced by grinding gypsum and additives; for this process two units of China-produced mills.<\/p>\n

Three types of cement brands – 300, 400, 500 – are produced at the enterprise, corresponding to European standards.<\/p>\n

The presented EIA report refers to the changes in exploitation conditions, particularly, setting up a new cement mill, expanding the warehouse of raw materials and installation of 4 additional cement silages with a capacity of 120 m3<\/sup> is planned.<\/p>\n

Changes envisage the cancellation of two units of mills with a common capacity of\u00a0 84\u00a0000 t\/y and the setting up of a new mill instead, with a capacity of 160\u00a0000 t\/y.<\/p>\n

The meeting was held in a zoom format and was led by the invited trainer. After the thorough review of the EIA report trainer and working group members prepared evidence-based remarks and recommendations, in a written manner, which we will share with the National Environmental Agency, as well as with the population.<\/p>\n

The public deliberation of the EIA report is planned on December 13, 2022, at 14:00, in the City Hall of Rustavi Municipality. Every citizen has the right to attend the meeting.<\/p>\n
