\"\"Today, on June 20, the civil movement “Gavigudet” visited “Geosteel” Llc, where the company representatives presented us the improved production process.<\/p>\n

According to the CEO of \u201cGeosteel\u201d, the company has an exhaust system since the start of operation, with an initial investment of $ 2.1 million and an annual operating cost of $ 1.2 million.<\/p>\n

We were introduced to all the changes, that have been made during recent years in term of reducing emissions from the factory. You can read about abovementioned changes below:<\/p>\n

– In 2019-2020, the plant was equipped with 2880 rated filters designed in accordance with local engineering and technology in Germany.<\/p>\n

– The company has a spark arrester since 2018, which is not required by law, although it can catch large particles of dust.<\/p>\n

– The mechanical cooling system was replaced with a modern cooler that reduces the amount of emissions.<\/p>\n

– The old ventilator with the power of 480 000 nm3<\/sup>\/h was replaced with the new one \u2013 power of 560\u00a0000 nm3<\/sup>\/h, which dramatically improved the suction capacity and reduced emissions.<\/p>\n

– The combustion chamber was changed, this new technology reduces CO, gas and dust emissions.<\/p>\n

– The water and air cooling pipe, from the furnace to the cooler, was replaced by a larger pipe, which increased the direct suction efficiency by a factor of 1.5.<\/p>\n

As for the self-monitoring system, “Geosteel” has installed it since October 2021, but it was not possible to include it in the unified system of the Ministry, because the company had not yet agreed on the maximum allowable emission norms with the Ministry. This document was agreed on May 30, 2022 and the company representatives assume they will be able to join the unified system of the Ministry in the near future.<\/p>\n

It is also noteworthy, that the ongoing progress is clearly visible. \u201cGeosteel\u201d was one of the great pollutants in previous years, but the situation has changed recently and pollution cases became rare. After showing the polluting footages from the past, the company representatives promised us, they will keep on to improve the production gradually.<\/p>\n

\u201cGavigudet\u201d will continue keeping up with the changes of the enterprises, we will keep an eye on the emissions from the industrial zone as well, and we will have the population updated with the final results. We are ready to visit other enterprises as well, and call on them to be transparent.<\/p>\n
