\"\"Today, on June 15, the civil movement \u201cGavigudet\u201d visited metallurgical (Ferroalloy) enterprise \u2013 \u201cFerro Alloys Production\u201d, where we have been introduced to the ongoing innovations. As they themselves emphasized, the role of the civil movement “Gavigudet” was the most important in this process and this is what led\/accelerated the installation of the filtration system.<\/p>\n

\u201cFerro Alloys Production\u201d was one of the main pollutants in the past. Existing situation back then can be seen in the video footage<\/a> we took. Ventilation and dust-collecting systems were installed at the end of year 2021. As of today, 5,5 meters high 360 pieces of sleeved filters are installed and the system efficiency is 99,9%. During the same period, the old ventilator was replaced with more powerful one, with a capacity of 50, 000 cubic meters per hour.<\/p>\n

As company representatives inform us, they plan to return the dust, emitted from the filters, back into the production process, which will minimize the waste, generated during the production process. This change is expected to happen within a one-month period.<\/p>\n

Currently, the enterprise has invested about GEL 320-350\u00a0000 to improve the processes.<\/p>\n

As for the self-monitoring system issue, the company has already chosen the supplier, but it is still waiting for the answer from the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture to get agreed about the maximum allowable emission norms. According to plant representatives, this remains the main obstacle about the self-monitoring issue. But they promise, after the permission, they will be able to complete the installation of the self-monitoring system in four months and join the unified electronic system of the Ministry.<\/p>\n

Although the enterprise does not yet have a self-monitoring system, it is very important to us that the filters and ventilation systems function smoothly. The company representatives themselves point out how much relief it is to improve the production process for both, them and their employees.<\/p>\n

\u201cFerro Alloys Production\u201d was one of the first enterprises to change the situation significantly, we hope that other enterprises in Rustavi, which are still operating with violations, will take this example and invest in the factory for not only the health of the people living in the city, but also for their workers\u2019 and their own health.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":3142,"template":"","yoast_head":"\n\u201cGavigudet\u201d Visited \u201cFerro Alloys Production\u201d -
